Clipbara does not collect or share any of your data. Your clips stay on your devices, and reach your own iCloud account only if you turn on iCloud sync.

What Clipbara stores

Clipbara is a clipboard manager. On a Mac, when you copy something, it saves that clip (text, images, links, files, colors, or code) to a local database on your Mac so you can find and reuse it later. On iPhone, it saves what you add with the paste button or the share sheet, and, if you turn it on, what you copied when you open the app.

iCloud sync (optional)

The App Store editions for Mac and iPhone can sync your history and pinboards between your devices. Sync is off until you turn it on.

• Synced clips and pinboards are stored in your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit and count toward your iCloud storage. The developer cannot access them.
• Clip contents are stored with CloudKit encryption. Images up to 10 MB sync when "Sync Images" is on; copied files never sync.
• Turning sync off stops it. "Delete iCloud Data" removes everything Clipbara stored in iCloud.
• Data in iCloud is also covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

The Clipbara keyboard (iPhone)

The keyboard only inserts clips you choose. It does not record or send what you type. Without Full Access it shows the clips the app last shared with it. With Full Access and iCloud sync on, it also fetches new clips from your own iCloud database.

What Clipbara does not do

• No Clipbara accounts or sign-in
• No developer servers: your clips are never sent to the developer or anyone else
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
• No advertising or third-party SDKs

Network access

The App Store editions use the network only for iCloud sync, and only when you turn it on.

The direct-download (GitHub) edition for Mac has no iCloud sync. It connects to the network for one purpose only: checking for app updates via the open-source Sparkle framework. No personal data or clipboard content is included in update checks.

Your controls

• App exclusions: prevent selected apps (such as password managers) from ever being recorded.
• History limit: cap how many clips are kept; older clips are deleted automatically.
• Delete anytime: remove individual clips or clear the entire history from the app.
• Local backup: export and import your data as a JSON file that you control (Mac).
• iCloud sync: turn it on or off, or delete Clipbara's iCloud data, in Settings.
