Clipbara does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your Mac.

What Clipbara stores

Clipbara is a clipboard manager. When you copy something, it saves that clip (text, images, links, files, colors, or code) to a local database on your Mac so you can find and reuse it later. This data never leaves your device.

What Clipbara does not do

• No accounts, sign-in, or cloud sync
• No servers — your clipboard data is never uploaded anywhere
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
• No advertising or third-party SDKs

Network access

The Mac App Store edition of Clipbara does not use the network at all.

The direct-download (GitHub) edition connects to the network for one purpose only: checking for app updates via the open-source Sparkle framework. No personal data or clipboard content is included in update checks.

Your controls

• App exclusions: prevent selected apps (such as password managers) from ever being recorded.
• History limit: cap how many clips are kept; older clips are deleted automatically.
• Delete anytime: remove individual clips or clear the entire history from the app.
• Local backup: export and import your data as a JSON file that you control.
